Who is responsible

When you contact me
If you email me, I use your name, email address and the information you send to respond and discuss your project. This is used to take steps towards working together or for my legitimate interest in responding to enquiries. I keep correspondence only as long as needed for the enquiry, our work together or legal obligations.
Hosting and external services
This website is hosted on Cloudflare. Hosting providers may process technical information such as your IP address and request details to deliver and protect the site. Text fonts are served by this website. Icons are loaded through Google Fonts, which receives your IP address and browser request information. These providers may process information outside the European Economic Area under their applicable data protection safeguards.
Website analytics
This website uses Cloudflare’s analytics and real user monitoring to understand visits and improve page performance. The legal basis is my legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR: understanding how the site is used and finding and fixing performance problems. I use these measurements only to improve this website. Cloudflare adds a small script through the hosting service. It sends page-view and performance information to Cloudflare, such as the page visited, referring website, browser and device type, and loading times. Cloudflare states that this measurement does not use cookies or browser storage and does not track people across websites. Cloudflare receives your IP address when handling the request; its RUM documentation says the address is discarded at the receiving data centre and is not stored in its core databases or logs. Processing may take place outside the European Economic Area.
Browser storage
The site saves your theme preference in local storage and an optional easter egg unlock in session storage. These preferences stay in your browser and can be removed through your browser settings.
Your right to object to analytics
You can object at any time to the use of your personal information for analytics for reasons relating to your particular situation. To do so, contact me using the email link below. I will stop the processing unless there are compelling legitimate grounds that override your interests, rights and freedoms, or it is needed for legal claims.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you can request access, correction or deletion of your personal information, restrict or object to its use, or request a portable copy. Contact me using the email below. You can also complain to the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).
